Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering what car alarm everyone would recommend.
My Ex didn't come with keyless entry, so I don't have a RAP module or anything to worry about, so it should be an easy install, right?

I'm looking for something cheap, not more than $50. Hopefully somewhere that ships to Canada.

Maybe if it had remote start, that'd be great too, but not a must.

Thank you,

Dom

Cheap=bad. don't buy cheap, save up and buy a good name brand system. my parents cars have always had Viper systems, and they are great, not to install, but when they are hooked up, it was awesome.

DEI alarm systems (Viper, Rattler, Auto Mate ...) Are the best. Check amazon.com for good prices

Honestly, for $50, a whoopie cushion on your seat would be more reliable.

I had a good laugh.

I think I'm just more interested in the keyless entry feature.
But, what would you recommend that's a reasonable price?

P.S. I can't use amazon.com, won't ship to Canada. And, Amazon.ca is overpriced compared to the US one.

for something decent, you would be looking around $400 range installed. if you live here in canada, spend the extra $$$ and get a alarm/starter combo. i will add, if you have never done one, dont try it yourself. have seen way to many "i figured it wouldnt be too bad" or "my buddy did it for me" hack jobs.

I honestly wouldnt bite on that.. Read the description on that and read the description on a higher priced alarm. you can get a scanner light from street glow for $30 that would be more of a deterant than that. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, I just dont want to see anyone buy a junk alarm. If you only want those features why not Spend a little more for something like this;

http://www.amazon.com/Viper-350-Plu...d=1354157904&sr=1-6&keywords=alarm+system+car

As far as I know these systems are expandable - if you want to add features later - and the transmitter is code hopping - meaning a theif with a code reader cannot grab the frequency to break in. And, they have a starter kill relay so they cannot be hot wired.. Just my 2cents

Put THIS on your seat. It will work way better than a $30 car alarm.

lol thats messed up man! That does not have keyeless entry tho.

Best money I've ever spent for a alarm system. Codealarm CA6552 system for 69.99. It has keyless entry, remote start with 2 way paging receiver, complete alarm system with warning impact sensor, window rollup. Took me 3 hours to put it in on my 97 EX.

Thats a lot of features for that price! How long have you had it?

That sounds great. But the problem is, I'm in Canada.
There are only a few that will ship here from Amazon.com, and the ones on Amazon.ca are absolute crap for the price.

The one for $30 on Amazon.com has more features than a $100 one on Amazon.ca..

Canadian Problems..

Images don't work anymore..

And, can someone do me a huge favor and tell me how to install this POS?
I spent all afternoon trying to find the right wires to connect to. I have a wiring diagram and all the info from 12volt. I just can't find the wires if my life depended on it.

Would someone mind taking pics? Please and Thank you?
Or is there a guide somewhere..? (Tried following the '94 guide, but that won't work exactly)

Images don't work anymore..

I accidentally deleted 52 freaking pictures from my account. So most of my posts won't have pictures until I fix it.

Brought from Ebay and registered at Codealarm for lifetime warranty around 3 months ago. Crutchfield got the exact same unit for 349.99. Cannot see your images and like to help you out. It was way easier to do than other vehicles without the PATS.
