For bulk dynomat that is $245 in crutchfield is only $107 at www.cmttrading.com . I have only ordered from them once which i bought 2 kickers comps and i had no problem so i guess they are pretty reliable. Just thought i should put the word out.

I just orderd 100 square feet of fatmat from www.fatmat.com It was a buck a square foot...Supposed to be the same as dynamat. Havnt put it in yet, but will let you guys know!

Ryan, definitely let us know because I want to do this when I get some money over my summer break. Oh yeah, remember to take pics!!!

I plan on ordering some in the next week or so. I plan on doing everything but the headliner. Is 100 sq. ft. enough to do everything twice? If not, which parts should be given priority for a double layer?

doors, hatch area, then roof, work your way from the back to the front.......(after all the doors are done).

10 pairs of dome tweeters for 23.95....whaam i supposed to do with 20 dome tweeters???????

Peel and Seal. Less than a buck a foot, available locally, and perfectly fine unless you live in a really hot climate. (AZ, etc)

If you live in a hot climate, just use a heat gun and a roller and really get that stuff on there.. it'll never come off then!

Yeah you should use a heat gun to put this stuff on no matter what, its the tar smell from teh hot climates. If it bakes in a hot black car for a long time I hear you can kinda smell it sometimes.

I was thinking the same thing

I've bought from CMTtrading before

And they shipped in a good time frame as promised. SOOO CHEAP!!! Will probably get another box of the tar-stuff to continue the soundproofing project.

i'm using mcmaster.com's products for my sound deadening. it is working very well thus far.

That Mcmasters stuff is Peel and Seal.

You can get Xtreme Dynamat 36 sq ft packs from Wholesale House for $99.

how much would 100 square ft. do in a 2 door, starting with the rear hatch? half the car?

It will easily do the entire car with one layer, and should be able to do most of the car in a second layer as well. I know Gimp used it, and did his headliner, and everything else once, then did the hatch and some other places twice. So if you dont do the headliner, you should be able to do everything twice (at least thats what im hoping...will let everyone know ;))

Yup, you're right. I never said Dynamat X was a great deal, it is basicallly the same as Fatmat. I was thinking about getting some of that Fatmat Rattle trap, which is really good shiznit. Otherwise I may just go with dual layers of Peel and Seal.

2 door Explorer with 36 sq. feet of Dynamat

I covered the cargo area, all the way up to the windows, and BOTH doors and had about 2 feet leftover.

I'm going to order another box to get the lift gate, and maybe do some other areas (including headliner) missed earlier. I've also seen some people do the inner wall of the plastic pieces.

If not Dynamated, I might get some of the spray stuff.
