Where is the cheapest place to buy Warn Manual Hubs and the conversion kit? The only place I have found a listing for a 91 Explorer is Desert Rat. Their price is 139.99 a pair and conversion kit is 38.99 each. Also do you have to buy 2 conversion kits, one for each side or does one take care of both? Thanks for your help.

I got mine from carparts.com with a 1/3 off coupon for $140 including the hubs, conversion kits and shipping. That was the best I found anywhere. I acutally had to call their customer service number because they didn't have them listed on the website.

One, only one.

You only need one conversion kit. Going from auto to manual you are replacing the hubs and your bearing adjusting nuts, inner and outer. If you have Chilton's you can look it up. They do describe how to go about servicing both. To make a switch though you'll probably need a special bearing nut wrench. There are two, different one to take the auto hubs nut off and different one to tighten the new nut. Also, you'll need a torque wrench to make sure you got them at the right torque. The price seems fairly cheap. When I was getting mine I had to pay $220.00 for the whole thing. I had no time to shop though. I needed them like yesterday.

Good luck!

:D

I got mine from Clemson 4 wheel center.

They don't have the listings on the internet, but you can get their phone number from there.

I wanna say that the hubs were only like 140 and the conversion kit was like 20 or 25...that was the cheapest that i had found.

Price Quote FYI

Car Parts .COM just quoted me 151.51 for the hubs, conversion kit, and shipping. This is with the 1/3 off coupon. Just thought I would let you guys know. I will be ordering mine next week. You can only order it by calling their number. Part numbers 29071 for the hubs and part number 27997 for the conversion kit.
