CHECK ENGINE LIGHT???

HEY. You know there is a recall on your 5.0L exhaust manifold for leaks.

My CEL light also was on for a long period of time, Mine showed codes 401 and 402. 401 being egr open to far,402 egr not opening at all. I changed the DPFE valve seems to have taken care of it for now. My vacuum hoses was pluged off too,just cleaned em out with compressed air. hope this helps,

91Exploda - Do you know what years the 5.0L recall covers or do you have information on where I can find out about this? I haven't seen any recalls regarding the Exhaust Manifold leaks? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide

Fordkrazy Thank you. You nailed it. I replaced the tube and have not had the problem since.

Don't know if this will help, But check the vacum lines to the EGR valves. I was also having similar engine light issues. I found a broken vac line and replaced it. Light went off about a week later it came back. Checked the line again was melted. I used a better quality of line and it has not come back for over a year. Good Luck.

I HAVE THE FIX!!!! TAKE OUT THE LIGHTBULD BEHIND THE "CHECK ENGINE" PORTION OF DASH.......LOL
