Check fuel cap light.

Good morning. I am a newbie to this forum but no starnger to the explorers. However I own an 03 explorer EB with the 4.6 and I have had the check fuel cap light come on. I have replaced the cap but the light is still on. When will the light turn off? or do I have to have it turned off?

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 2002-2005 section. You might have to clear the code with a scanner.

if you checked the cap and it is tight, unhook your battery for about 30 min. that will reset the light and turn it off
