Help, big gamble removed fly wheel from 92 explorer cneter broken out. Question is there is a very small chip out of the crank the ridge before the crank bolt plate. Will this be trouble later if I just replace fly wheel. could this be a balance problem for me, I have been given varied answers. will be installing new fly wheel tomorrow.

How big of a chip are we talkin?

Answer to your question it is just a minute part of the end of the crank shaft that would center align the fly wheel on the shaft about a 1/16 by 3/16 to a 1/4 please respond quickly as I need to know by tonight. Thanks

Well considering these engines aren't precision ballanced comming from the factory, and if its that small. As long as you your flywheel is centered and all torqued to the specs. you should have no problems.
