Hello guys,
I am trying to find out a fly wheel for my automatic Aviator 2003 with the 5R55 transmission but since I swap a crank shaft from a mach 1 03 this crank has 8 bolts, the dealer told me that some explorer sport trac came with a 8 bolt crank and the 5R55 tranny like my Aviator. Does anyone could let me know?
The dealer ghave me a part number F77Z 6375 AA they said this fly wheel has 8 bolt and was for a explorer with a 5R55 tranny.
I did take some measurements out of my 6 bolt fly wheel if you lay it down (facin the top higher part where crank sits) I have 1.3935 inches from the center to the top and the bolts where the torque converter goes is 0.7655,
And facing the other way around I have from the bolts that hold the torque converter is 0.694, the hole in the middle is facin the ground so Zero measurement here.
Please I would really appreciate any inputs from the specialist on explorer here.
By the way I am glad to be part of this web site!
