What is the differance between tuners, flashing the computer and chips? Which of these makes the most power?

They're just different methods of doing the same thing. One doesn't "make more power" than the other. The power is in in the tune itself. A flasher stores the tune and it "flashes" the tune into your computer through the service port (OBD?). A chip stays attached to your computer. A flasher loads the tune into the computer and then you remove it.

SCT is the only way to go, IMHO. Check around the site for "Bamachips" (aka Doug904). He writes tunes for either delivery method using SCT products (chips or flashers).

Flashing is sometimes a "slang" for shops for reprogramming the computer for updates. We're starting to do this now at our shop, and basically - your car computer is just like your home computer now. There are updates for certain things that need to be uploaded onto the cars computer. Flashing/reprogramming is usually a shop term.

also look into hypnotic illusions... i wont get into who is better, as it got heated before, i dont have personal experience with either but htey are both site sponsors so both should be looked into out of respect... there are tonsa of threads on here about doug for sure, havent seen many on the otehr one, bu maybe i jsut dont know what i was looking for....
