Chrome Or Black Speed Grille for my truck?

Ok I am going to make my own speed Grille for my truckcause I dont wana Pay the 250+ for one. Now my question is what color should I make it. My truck is white with black trim. There is nothing chrome on my truck. I have some chrome rims that will go on soon. Tell me what you think would look best. Should make them black or chrome? Here are a few pics First is with Chrome and the second is with black.

uhh.....Joe? ....... have you been drinking again? You can buy cheap mesh grill stuff from a few of the online auto stores......definately not $250.......if I run across some I'll let ya know

I have been drinking again but I can get the exact same stuff as the Steet Scence Grilles for 30 bucks so I'm gona go that way. Way cheaper. Plus I like the satisfaction of making things myself. The picture of the black Grille is kinda bad. Looks kinda crappy to me but its the only one i can find. Can anyone Photoshop the top pic and make the grille look black?

Well Here it is. I painted them this color for now. If i dont like it I might paint them black. What do ya think? I'll get some better pics in the day tomorrow

Where did you find the material the same as from Street Scenes? I can find that thin gutter mesh, but nothin the thickness fo the speed grille.

Go around to your local welding and machine shops and ask to rumage around in their scrap bin thats how i fouind it. Took me about a week but i found some. Dont know where they got it or what its called but it worked for me.

Joe, looks great just like that!

I like the black when you have the full chrome surround on the front, but the polished like yours with the body colored trim looks great.
