Chromed Amber 916 Bulbs

Anyone know where I can find these elusive bulbs? I'm about to order some new headlight housings and my plans are to go with the clear reflectors, but I don't want to unless I can find chromed amber 916 bulbs for the sidemarkers. I've had no problems locating the chromed amber 3157s for the signals, but the side marker bulbs are still in hiding somewhere.

I've managed to find some chromed amber 906 bulbs. The website claims they are suitable replacements for a variety of different 9xx series bulbs including the 916, which is the OE bulb that our Explorers use.

Has anyone here successfully used any other 9xx series bulb in place of the 916?

The only issue w/ the chrome bulbs..at least the ones I've used were that they aren't bright. If used as a turn signal, if it's a sunny day people may not see that you have the signal on. I removed them and put the regular ambers back in.
