Clanging / Rattle

I have a 2000 Ranger XLT 4x4. Shortly after I hauled an engine in the back of my truck, I started to hear a rattle / clanging sound coming out from beneath my truck. It tends to be the loudest in between 25 - 30 mph (also the speed range that my mud tires tend to resonate.... related issues?). It sounds like a somewhat long (6" - 12" ??) peice of sheetmetal or metal tubing. I have been under the truck multiple times trying to find something loose with no luck. IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions on what it might be or how to find the rattle??

Have you checked the heat shield(s) along the exhaust?

I have checked some of them, but I will try checking the rest of them.

Found it!! There was a small, flat rock (about the size of a half-dollar) that had been thrown up into the recess of the t-case skid plate. I had to laugh when I found it.
