Cleaning the inside windows of every automobile/truck that I have ever owned has been a royal pain in the arse. I have tried every cleaner that I can find as well as the old traditional method of gasoline and newspaper’ many work but are not easy to do.

There has to be an easy or easier way to clean glass.

Alas, while watching TV one night I saw an add for Glass Wizard. At first I thought just another BS gimmick on sale on TV. While perusing eBay, I came across the thing again.

I placed a bid and won one for $10. It arrived today and I decided to put it to the test.

I sprayed RO/DI water on the inside of the windshield and rubbed it off with the Glass Wizard. It took no time at all and I was astonished with the results. I have never had my glass look so good.

I did the entire truck's interior glass in less than 10 minutes.

No chemicals were used; just the water and the microfiber bonnet of the Glass Wizard.

Sorry... RO/DI = reverse osmosis/deionization. Ultra pure water that I use in makinf saltwater for my aquariums.

I don't know if I should be proud or scared that I knew what RO/DI water is...

So what exactly is the cleaning agent? I've got a nasty thick film that windex won't cut and I don't have any Stoner's here at school

Car detail shows will love this. I've worked at one before and the biggest request/complaint from customers was to "make sure the winshield on the interior is spotless/streakfree".

This RO/DI stuff, I guess you get it at tropical fish stores ?
Does the Glass Wizzard work with good ol' tap water or what ?

I am quite a stickeler for spotless glass

The cleaning agent is just pure water rubbed off with microfiber.

I used the ultra water simply because I make it for the aquariums.

You could use any water, however, I would use distilled.

I imagine that you could use a cleaner and wipe with the microfiber if the glass was really nasty ( never tried it though ).

The microfiber covers ( 2 come with the device ) are machine washable.

Sweet. My glass drives me crazy and I can never get it crystal clear. Might have to look out for this. Thanks Al!

Good find, Al. I get very tired of contorting my body trying to reach every crevice of the windshield. This should make life much more easy!

Thanks for the heads up. I too have seen them on TV, but just passed it off as the same old stuff that is always on TV, now that I know it works, might have to look in to getting one. Never can get the glass as clean as I would like.

this work on tinted windows?

I don't see why not. It’s just a microfiber cloth on a easy to use handle and pure water. Never tried it though.

you can just buy the micro cloth at stores, you get 2 of them the size of bandans for $3-$4.

i might try it now

Yeah but I like the fancy handle on there.
Getting that bottom edge of the glass with towles or what ever can be a pain in the wrist.

I have been experimenting with various glass cleaning agents to see if they work better than the RO/DI water.

I have come across one that does an amazing job of glass cleaning. The product is 1Z Glas Polish.

They state: 1Z Glas Polish is a special glass cleaner and polish specifically designed to remove stubborn road films, silicone, wax, insects, stains and water spots. Glas Polish quickly leaves a crystal clear, smear-free finish, inside and out. 1Z Glas Polish is very easy to use. Heavy rubbing and buffing is never required. Simply wipe on, allow to haze and buff off

The application is simple and after it dries to a haze ( very fast ), its removal with the Glass Wizard is a snap.

The results are remarkable.

The 1Z Glass Polish is available from http://store.yahoo.com/autopia/1z-931504.html for $4.95.

glass wizard

Just bought one, so we will see how it turns out.
Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the plastic (rubbermaid) wheel flares looking good, mine are fading out like nobody's business.
