Without wishing to get all techy on you all I have noticed an odd clicking noise coming from under the back of the car when idling and stationery, its intermittant and is roughly every 5-10 seconds. I noticed it first when at a set of traffic lights sitting with the auto holding me on a slight incline it seemed to coincide with a very slight movement forward - any ideas or shoud I just ignore it?

Cheers

Only thing I can think of is the self levelling suspension pump kicking in. Nothing else moves when you are standing still. Else its just a rattle from the exhaust pipe. Worth checking the heat shields on the pipe.

What Howard said.
You could try turning up the radio...;)

It sounds like a relay or something clicking every now and then, but everything still seems to be working OK so I am not going to lose any sleep over it - I have a two year unlimited warranty on the Ex anyway!

I know it's not at the back, but could it be the air con clutch engaging / dis-engaging?

It's probably a loose exhaust pipe clamp/hanger.........they rattle, and even clunk sometimes :)
