Clicking noise from my shifter

When I started my Sport Trac this morning I noticed a clicking sound when I put presser on my break peddle. I did it a couple of times and traced it to my shifter where I could acctually feel the click when I put pressure on my peddle. It only happens when the truck is started and in Park. Does anyone know what this could be? thanks

Yeah it's the lock mechanism releasing so you can put it into drive. You press the brake and it activates. Mine is pretty loud as well.
