Clogged throttle body

Hi all, I have recently picked up a 2010 F-150, and it has got badly clogged throttle body. Now, I was wondering, if it is a good idea to just throw the old one away and put an aftermarket one in there? Because the guy in the shop said he will take around $400 for the restoration job. And the OE replacement from Ford is around $750. I saw the aftermarket throttles on ebay for $120, yet I don't really know, if it would be okay to get an aftermarket throttle? Will it work okay with the rest that's stock? Something like this perhaps?
Would you do that if you were me?

When you say it's badly clogged, what do you mean ?

Since you were going to throw it away, I wopuld first disassemble it, remove the electrical parts, spray it, soak it with the TB cleaner, and try that first. If it works, then fine. if not get a new one.
I would probably use aftermarket but get Motorcraft sensor. And shop around, you can get OEM parts online at much better price.

Clogged.... well... like too dirty, man. There was a cold air intake that seems like was never washed...
Now, there is coating of dust and thin oily film...
Will try cleaning by myself, man...

K&N right? They are more of a warm air intake. Coldest air on these things is from the factory intake. Bet the MAF sensor is full of oil too. With any luck you could probably clean them both out and throw on a regular intake and it would work fine. Try MAF sensor cleaner on both. Heres what I used on mine. Cleared the carbon build up on the throttle body as well. CRC SensorKleen Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner | Canadian Tire

Just take it off the intake plenum and clean it really good with a throttle body cleaner spray—not carburetor cleaner spray. Once it’s cleaned up, then it should be OK.

It will also help to run a few tanks of gas with a can of Seafoam in them. That’ll help clean out the entire fuel system.
