Call the guys At polyperformance.com they can help you with anything coilover/airshock related

Do you plan on moving your fuel tank? I would think a fuel tank moved and a triangulated 3-link would be the best way of doing this setup. Not too sure if I've seen any coilovers on here, but I've seen them on an XJ in person and they rock.

I am running coils in the rear with the triangulated link. We added a cell up top to do this. Works great. Cant help with the coil overs.

Good luck.

The size of shock needed depends on what you want to do with it. If it's going to be used mostly at slow speeds (crawling) then a 2.0" shock will be fine. If you plan on driving fast then a 2.5" is the way to go.

The length depends on where it will be mounted. Getting 15" of travel should be pretty easy.

I hope you're ok with cutting up the back of the explorer (losing a lot of the cargo area) and moving things to make a 4-link with coilovers even worth while.

Is this for crawling or a baja style of froadin'?

you could say baja style, there is a tough tuff league around here in the summer, it goes to different Fairs and Events

trckmagik- i would like some photos of your setup if possible.. ive been considering a coil spring
