hey roadbully, the 225 bucks is for 4 spacers right? Two that are 3 inches and two that are 2.5 inches. If those are the measurements that you recommend that is what i will do

That's exactly right, 4 spacers, 3" front, 2.5" rear Plus all the bolts, washers and nuts required to install.

Hey Roadbully, I did a little searching but couldn't find the exact answers I was looking for. What are the benefits of your spacers vs coilsprings.com springs and vice versa? ALSO I'm assuming that I can fit 285/75's with your spacer? Thanks a bunch in advance! :)

I can tell you right now that a 3" Roadbully spacer will give you more lift than a 3" coilspring lift. The coilspring lift works... but it does not give the exact lift you order.

RoadBully's Pros: Higher lift and better price. (more room for tires)

Coilsprings: Good because OEM springs on Explorers have been failing (heavy rust/cracking) at an alarming rate.

RBs spacers allow your suspension to work the exact way it's supposed to from factory, just with additional clearance built in. They are also an exact height increase, ie 2" strut spacer = 2" additional clearance.

With lift springs, they don't always result in the exact lift you want - I have 2" lift springs, and they resulted in less than 1" lift at the front, an about 1.5" lift at th rear. With longer-throw shocks, I would get the whole extra lift, but then that's extra expense too. You generally also get a different ride - sometimes harsher, sometimes softer etc.

Thanks for answering for me guys, I hit the sack early lastnight.
beaubruns, they've pretty much hit the nail on the head with the above answers,
and about your 285's, I would not recommend going that big, unless you also went with a body lift.
The highest I recommend going with coilsprings, OR my spacers is 265's.

Hope this info helps you.

Cheers
Ben

Thanks a ton guys! Yeah I really wasn't leanin to hard twoards 285's, thats just more tire than i will ever need. Well alright roadbully, gimme a bit and you'll have an order for some spacers :D

No worries,
Just fire me a PM when you're ready to go.

Is it just me or in the pic above is that Red Xs rear tire kicked forward towards the leading fender edge?

Nope, it's not just you.
That's the way all of these ex's are, no matter which lift you use.
The rear tire is closer to the front of the fender than the rear.
Stock they're not centered either, but it seems to be more noticeable on lifted ex's

I was looking at mine and it is closer to the front of the wheel opening than the rear right now and it is completely stock with the same size tires as it came with.

I am curious to see what this looks like with stock tires and 2" spacers up front. Everyone I have seen already had some 265s on their trucks when they put the spacers on.

You'll haveto ask Mike (goatman) what size tires he's got, He's about to install a 2" Kit in the front.

Personally... i don't think it will look very good.

Explorer stock tires seem too small to begin with... lifting your truck will only add to the illusion.

I will be getting some bigger tires for it but I will have to wait a little while. I do not want to have to put them on the credit card. The Limiteds and Eddie Bauers come with a little bit larger tires from the factory (245/70/16) so it might not look too bad.

Ben you need to get stickers made up for some free advertisement! lol

HAHAHAHA!!!! I have an appointment tomorrow at 2 to have them designed, I'm doing a banner across my back window, a logo done for my two rear quarter windows, and a bunch of small ones to send with the kits. ;)
Of course if someone else wanted a banner as well I'm sure I could arrange it.

and fools seldom differ ;)
