Coils 3rd gen to 4th yes or no

alright, if the answer is out there sorry, however after a couple days of research and lurking I cant find the right answer. So a definite yes or no would be great.

Are the coils on the 3rd gen the same as the 4th?

The rears are different on the 3rd gen....at least on my 04 EB they were progressive rate type. 4th gen has linear rate ones. Otherwise the dimensions look similar to me but the spring rate might be different. The length will also be a factor.

Are you lowering or just looking for an OEM replacement?

If they're lowering springs that are specific to the 3rd gen, you might try calling the manufacturer and asking, they might know.

I believe the 2nd Gen ST suspension is the same as the 4th gen explorers, but not certain. Maybe you can PM the OP and talk to him about getting a set of drop springs made for your truck.

yea there is no way im paying 600+ For drop springs. Id rather cut up the strut or spring before that. That's one month of daycare... n unfortunately that takes precedence....But im beginning to call around to some places.
