Cold Air Intake for '03 Mountie V-8?

I'm a bit surprised at the lack of options on cold air intakes for the 4.6 Mountie/Explorer. Ford has made so many of these that I imagined there would be some choices. I'd prefer a Volant or AirAid, but it seems the only thing available is the K&N unit. I was hoping to avoid the K&N because I don't want to worry about oiling a filter and possibly messing up the MAS.

I know exactly what your talking about . Ive got the V8 explorer, and also dont want a k&n. i found a mac kit thats pretty nice very large filter and chrome piping. but i wanted an air box so i think im going to either adapt it to fit the factory air box and add an extra tube into the fender, or build some kind of heat sheild. hope this helps you avoid the k&n

Most iair intakes have some oil on the filter.
