So the square air intake duct tubing is disintegrating on me and I can't find a replacement. It's causing a vacuum issue where I have high revs on idle in park. I'm thinking of installing a cheapish CAI instead. Would that fix my vacuum issue?

Imo it won't fix it great, but probably better than unmetered air going into the combustion.

Make sure all the new vaccum joints seal well, and it should be good until you can find another air tube. Keep all your old parts, and periodically scrounge junk yards .

I’ll guess it’s disintergrating at the accordion flex pleats, that’s where they all seem to crumble. I discovered mine when I had a high idle from the massive air leak. Replacements are next to impossible to find, I fixed mine by wrapping those flex joints well with silicone tape, been holding up for a few years.

Exactly where. Thanks for naming it. My thought process is a different intake eliminates my need for it. Also looking into snorkel builds.

So I've sealed it up with an exhaust bandage and it is helping. It only races for a second maybe 2 instead of a constant 1800 idle.
