Air Intake

Am looking for a cold air intake for my 99' Ranger. Was wondering what you all thought was the best way to go. I was looking at a K&N 57 Series Fipk Generation II. Which is gonna cost me about $200-$220 (depending on finish)

What should I do?

I would go with K&N Fipk and seem to get better deal on E-bay..

I was looking on e-bay and cam across an air intake system that fits a '99 ranger 3.0l (which is what I have) the only question I have is that since it isn't the Fipk system but just a k&n filter, will It be the same? Here's the link it anyone wants to lookhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999...QsspagenameZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

It caught my eye because it is alot cheaper than most others, but it isn't the Fipk either.

i made my own open element intake.
i found a MAF adapter plate that bolts to your stock MAF sensor and accepts any reusable air filter with a 3" opening.

the kit sold on ebay for like $40.00
