04 intake

what is a good cold air intake system for an 04 ranger 4.0L 4x4? one that is a little more affordable than K&N would be nice too. also, do hood scoops make much of a difference in performance? if so, is just leading the air to under the hood a good as directly to the intake via some sort of piping?

Bought the new AEM on ebay cheaper than the K&N filter also doesnt use oil in the filter. Good performance and cool sound.

I've got a Mac Performance that I got for around $160.0 with S&H. Call them and they can tell you what one fits because last time I checked the web-site it didn't list for anything past 2001 Rangers
