I have a Compact spare tire, that's 28 years old. Went too use it last week, and need air, call triple A , they fill it, and when I went to drive away making a turn, the tire deflated. The next day I try too fill it, it went too 10 psi, then deflated. Look at the tire, I did not see any holes and don't know why it will not hold air pass 10 psi.
The size is T125/70D15, do they go bad? On the look out for replacement.

Look for dry rot and or rust around the rim

Yes they go bad!! Rubber deteriorates with time and exposed to weather

Rusty metal wheel will allow air to rush past the bead

Why a compact spare???? This truck should have a full size spare underneath there is enough room under there for a full size tire
You can get one at any junk yard
95 should have 235 15 wheel and tire

Just so you know where it's leaking, spray some soapy water on it and then as it deflates, you'll see the bubbles.

28 years is just too old for a tire... better that it deflated right away instead of at speed, cornering, etc.

Id get a full size spare at this point, no use working with that okd of a spare- it dry rots cracks etx over time

The spare is not dry rotted or cracked. I think the compact spare is made out of a different compound.
The tires on the vehicle only last between 10 and 15 years. they brake apart after that, because of the heat.
I don't know the the outer diameter of the spare tire wheel D15. I am also looking for a center cap for the wheel. What people are asking for 20 year old tire and center caps are unreal. I found a rim with center cap , that is fair and reasonable price. So now I thinking buy that, and a new tire.

it will kill you're transfer case

Why are you using a compact spare? Brand new mystery brand 235/75r15 are cheap…

What transfer case?
It will hurt my wallet!
This is especially on AWDs but runnign mismatched sizes will wear since smaller tire=more revs vs larger tire= wheel speed difference.
