I was wondering if anyone knows of some compact sub speakers that would fit into the cubby on the back right side of the cargo area. My friend had a 97 Eddie Bauer with a sub speaker in that slot that was factory. I've got a Sport, and don't really want to waste room in the back with a box, cause I haul a lot of stuff around in the back. Does anyone know how I can get/make a plate to mount a single sub speaker in the back? Or does anyone know of some other options that won't take up a lot of room? Thanks

Q-forms makes an enclosure for that space, but you have to buy the speaker. JL audio makes an enclosure with speaker. Look on their respective websites for more info.

Also Rockford Fosgate, MTX & Q-Logic make subs to fit in that location, you can check Crutchfield for prices. Kicker makes some real thin sub boxes that won't take up a lot of space. You can always put a tube sub or two under the rear seat or build a box to fit under there.

MTX in 8 or 10" sizes, loaded sub or empty, and can purchase a powered one, which might be good if you want to save the space. I think about $350 (around that).

JL Audio, 8 or 10" loaded, but like 600 dollars.

Q-Logic 8 or 10" unloaded. somewhere around $250 I think.

Rockford Fosgates, but I don't think it's on therir webpage

I bought the '10 Q-Logic box for only $79.99 here in the Pacific Northwest at a place called Magnolia Hi-Fi. It was orginally $250 and I thought it was just a great sale but it seems like they droped that price permanently since I bought the enclosure last year and it's still that price. So if anyone is looking into a custom enclosure you might want to check that out since it can save you alot of a money.

I paired the Q-Logic enclosure with a JL 10W4 and it sounds good. I just wish I could compare it to the more expensive fiberglass JL Stealth box that has recieved such rave reviews.
