Where does one locate the PCM ID for a given vehicle? Many different ones are listed for 2004 Ex. 4.0 Flex fuel, 4X4.

Thanks! imp

Open the passenger door and look at the frame by the hinges, close to the air conditioner vents. There should be a little sticker with a 4 digit code. Mine is PCZ1, which was one of the stable ones out of the factory.

On my 98 it is actually on the PCM itself, Vinyl Bar Code type sticker.

Found no sticker on door, so ripped out the PCM. A bear! Glovebox out first, a great big bolted together connector absolutely barred the PCM from clearing down and over, disconnected it made big difference. The ID sticker is of course hidden underneath the support bracket slipped onto the PCM box.

Next big question is, replacement PCM WITH two programmed keys, costs a hundred bucks more than with no keys.

Has anyone successfully disabled PATS? Want me to post how I plan to do it?

Thanks! imp
