Thinking I want to go to 4.10s and eventually 33's when I'm through with these 31's.

I've found a site selling the gears at a decent price, rather than going the junk yard route. But they're listed as 4.11, rather than 4.10. Will that be an issue, and what other information should I be looking for to insure compatibility, although their parts finder claims they're a match.

Also I've got the AWD with limited slip, I'm assuming the ring and pinion gear aren't open/limited slip specific, is that correct?

4.11.... 4.10.... it's all close enough. As long as they say it works with your 8.8 rear and Dana 35 front, you should be good.

You need to ask yourself: is 4.11 going to be enough?

4.56 and 33" tires is about the same as stock tires (28-29") with 4.10 gears. 4.11 gears and 33s will be about like 3.73 and stock tires.

I had 4.56 and 30" tires for awhile. Then got 33s. IMO, perfect combo.

^ I agree. If you're going to buy gears and not just go grab stock stuff from the yard I'd go 4.56's with 33's. If I ever regear I'm doing 4.10's because I'll be going right to the scrap yard for cheap and getting some LSD 4.10's from a truck that had the option. Changing and setting up both those axles will be a real pain and I don't want to deal with it haha. Been there done that.

FWIW I have 32's and 3.73's now. They're not bad and I'm not touching it unless something in my diff's fail, but 4.10's would be nicer to have.
