My 95 Sport has the "high series" console. My problem with it is that the latches that keep the lid down are sticking. It is so bad that the hook on one side of the lid broke off because the latch would not release it, if that makes any sense. I tried spraying a little bit of WD40 on the latches, but it did not seem to help at all. Do I need to put some grease in the latches, or is there someother fix?

Also, the handle on the outside of the tailgate that opens it and the glass is kind of stiff. It can be turned, but sometimes you have to use both hands. Any fix for that?

Thanks for any help.

the tailgate issue is normally due to a corroded or rusted part inside the door or the handle itself - if you remove the panel on the hatch and lube all the pivot points it may help free up a sticking lever on the latch or the handle. ive seen many twist style handles get frozen that may be the broblem normally wd 40 in there works well
