I just lowered my explorer...one inch in the back, two in the front...and I went to a local shop to get my front end aligned...they tried and said they couldn't because my bearings were bad.....and that Ford made them irreplacable....you have to replace the whole control arm....and that it would be better to buy some control arms from Moog.....because their bearings can be replaced and that in the end it would save money.....which seems to make sense.... if their story is true (I think it is because they seem to have been truthful in the past)

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience in this department...any tips?...is there a better brand than Moog? Mayber a high performance part or something???

Thanks guys!

You mean ball joints not bearings. The shop is telling the truth- the upper balljoints are cast into the upper control arms and are not removable. You have to replace the upper control arm. Go with Moog.... its the best out there.

Thanks bud! I figured they were pretty truthful...just didn't know if Moog was were I should go...thanks for helping!
