If I replace the AWD T-case in a 97 V8 X with a manual part-time T-Case, what kinds of mods will i need to do to the front axle?

What about hubs? Will any mods be necessary? If so, will V6 parts bolt on?

Has anyone done this before?

Thanks,
Aaron

The whole set up for a V8 ids quite different from a V6, lots of custom work would be needed....What manual transfer case were you looking to get?

Use the search function and search for the member named StadX2 he's actually done this mod... Lots of little things to do that go along with this mod...

You will probobly need an adapter for the t-case. Advance Adapters sells one to bolt the 302 up to the v-6's t case. I.ve been thinking of this because I need to get away from my auto trans.

I was under the impression that the Atlas II bolts right up to the V8. I think several people here have already done it. Try searching for "Atlas II".
