Okay...I have to ask....what about the Cooper Tires? When I called around about tires, one of the shops recommended Cooper Discover LT's. From what I understand it's a fairly small tire manufacture. I want a good tire off road as well as on so I'm not sure what to go with. I was looking for BFG's before. I'm currently running Toyo's and I've been happy with the traction on the road but not as impressed off road.....

Any thoughts????????

cooper is very small. we didnt even carry them at americas tire/ discount tire. i would say just go and get the bfg all terrain ko everybody here loves them and they are a very good tire

Coopers/BFG

okay....thanks for the imput....the tire question can be confusing at best

I don't know nothing about the tires, but i love one of their commercials.

Cooper makes a very good tire for the money.

If I'm not mistaken, Cooper also makes the ProComp line - which have gotten great reviews. I currently run Dunlop's and love them. If you are lookig to save a couple $$ look at the ProComp or Dunlop mudders...

I've got Coopers on my '94. They gave them to me during the recall because they were out of everything else and I didn't want to wait. They ride on the road much nicer than the Firestones and are excellent in the snow(Had quite a bit in the Northeast this year with no problems) As far as serious off road tires, they may be a bit small.

$$$$$$$$$$

if the $$$$ is not what concerns u i'd recomend the BFG A/T, but if your on a budget then cooper or Dunlop would be pretty good like FM said

Cooper-Mastercraft

I have a '96 XLT with 190,000 miles. Around 20K miles ago I put on Mastercraft(Cooper) Courser A/T's. I am very pleased! They ride great, they're quiet and are great on rain, snow and ice.

thanks

thanks for all the imput....money is always of some concern but not as much as safety and quality. I use my explorer for off-roading but also as a daily driver. We get a ton of rain here but from everything I've heard I think i'll go and look at them.
