Hi. Does anyone know if 1988 Ford 302's have a core plug (soft plug, freeze plug) at the back of the engine block by the transmission? This would lead into the water jacket. If so what size is it? Anyone have a picture of the back of a 302 block. Thanks.

I don't think it does, their only on the side

I went out to look at my old explorer block, and I see 1 thing tht looks like a soft plug, but I think it is the rear camshaft support. I don't know if coolant can leak from there or not.
There are also 2 hard plugs at 10 and 2 o:clock of it.
It is on a stand. so a picture wouldn't help
