Been having a couple little problems with my X as of late.
First off, its tough physically putting it into drive. (Auto)
Also, my windows only roll down from the master controls (Driver's door)
My driver's side door only unlocks when you pull the handle from the inside.
I already addressed my problem about vibrations during turning and acceleration, and will begin replacement of the bad components this weekend.

Any ideas? Anyone had similar problems? I've got a 2001 XLT 4x4

1. shift into drive - is it hard to shift into DRIVE from PARK or from any gear??

2. will the windows rollup from the individual door switches??

3. do the other doors unlock with the UNLOCK swt?? from what you said it won't unlock if you pull up on the button, correct?? if so, then a clip probably came off or broke.

Anywhere into Drive is hard to put it into drive. it doesnt matter what Im shifting from

The windows will not roll up or down unless controlled by the driver's controls
and all doors unlock with keyless entry + button except for the drivers door.

check the window lock button

check that the window lock swt on the driver's controls is off. if it's working (letting power go to the other window) you should have 12v with key ON at RD/LB wire

for the lock. pull the driver's door panel off and see if you see the lock actuator moving. if it is, look for a broken clip. if it does not move check for power at the actuator.

for the tranny. to exclude the linkage remove the shift cable from the Manual Control lever on the tranny and see if it goes smooth into drive. don't pull the cable out of the cable bracket or you may need to readjust the shift cable.

Will check those out as soon as I get home - thanks for the tips.
