Well i had a 1991 explorer a year ago and had to sell it when i left alaska to come to the lower 48 to go to college, it was stock but i really wish i had done some modding to it to keep myself from getting stuck when I went out off roading. I am looking into getting another one here in Wisconsin and i have been looking around (prolly just not in the right places) for lift kits (body and suspension) but havent really found much for the explorers...anyone have some sights that have lift kits and other mods for explorers so i can start reading up and figuring out what i want to do??

Thanks

From reading this site, you can do ANYTHING to your explorer. It's not a matter of what you can do, it's a matter of what you want to do (as long as your wallet allows).

So......what do you want to make out of your explorer? We'll be happy to help. Also feel free to use the search feature as well to see what other people have done to their explorers.

What year X you lookin to get?

well i am looking to get a 91-94 i like the body a bit better than the newer (and they are lighter on the wallet) stock i always got stuck everywhere i went with my first one so the first thing i want to do is give it a higher stance and some tires that can grip and go...im not mr. money so i am only going to start with a few things to get it up and moving over some rought terrain. I would like a lift eithe rbody or suspension depending on the advantages and disadvandtages of each...i would like some bigger tires but i honestly dont know enough so say what size yet...its difficult to explain what i want to do to the truck because well i dont know honestly...but i know i want to do something thats why i want some sites or places i can look at what there is to do and learn what it will do for me, and make decisions after i have educated myself a little in the sport.

The best explorer site on the net is the one you are already on. If you are looking for ideas on how to set up a '91-'94, try going to the "before and after" section and dooing a little surfing of the posts. You will find everything from stockers to big dawgs and each vehicle is as unique as its owner. If you find one you like, try contacting the owner if you have any questions. Everyone on this site is usually more than happy to help any of the other members.
As far as any other sights, try these: Dead Link Removed
