Couple questions Im stumped

First, my driver side window rolls down very slow then about halfway down it speeds up to normal pace. It does the same going up, a friend of mine said its a regulator in the power window motor, does anybody have any idea?

Second, My driver side door lock unlocks when it wants to really. Here lately itll pop up when I hit the button but if its cold it wont, I gotta hit the button a few times. Also when I put the key in if it doesnt pop the key wont turn so I gotta go through the passenger side. Anyone have any ideas?

Lastly, where can I find some good quality leather seats I have a 98 sport and I hate the cloth seating not to mention the electronics have failed on my driver seat.

Bumping for a reply.

My '94's driver-side window does the exact same thing. On cold days this past winter, it would literally stop as it wound down, requiring a "push" from me to get it going again.

Rolling up, it seems to work just fine.

I'm wondering if the 3 nylon bushings in the winder motor may be the culprit.

Replacing the window motor will probably be your best bet for the window problem.

Replacing the lock solenoid would probably fix the lock problem.

The lock issue is probably the switch itself, they often don't work on one side.

The window is likely not the motor or the plastic "pucks", but an area of the track which is too narrow. I have the problem with my LF, and it has gotten worse this past year. My LF door is an old 91 door, and it had some surface rust when bought and painted.

I suspect that the window channel that the window rides in has some rust begun inside it, under the felt. Changing that or even checking it is a big job. The window glass would have to come out, which is riveted in at its base. I have had a new channel and glass for a long time, I need to get on this soon. Post back if anyone finds a better answer for the slow or sticking window.
