Hey there guy's and gal's,
I hade a few questions. I have a 97 x 4.0l ohv i just got my external tranmny cooler and external oil filter for my tranny and my two gauges tranny temp and oil temp and the double pod. I plan on installing them this weekend just had some questions.
1. Where should i hook the oil filter and cooler. I was going to set my route up this way. From the tranny to my raditor then to my external filter to my second cooler then back to me tranny what do you think.???? sound good.
2. As well as installing my filter and cooler i want to drop my pan and clean my tranny change the internal filter. Any suggetion on oil to run in my tranny and is there any thing else i should do why my oil pan is off. If i remember correctly i remeber some body saying that on the 5r55e tranny's there are know for the for blowing out the the valve body gasket. And the bolt would come loses???? my question is this are the vavl body right there in front of my face when i take off the pan. where do they sell the valve body gasket if i need new one how many do i need.
3. When putting back on my oil pan is there a pattern of what way i should tighten the bolt and a torqe setting????.
4. I got a electronic tranny temp gauges there are 5 conntions two are for the light display i know where to hook those up. one is ground second one is from the sender and third one if from the igniton i know where to hook all them up but do you guys and gals have any suggetions where to hook the wire for the igntion with. The only really igniton wire i know is the one to the radio or do you just hook it up staight and allways have power running to the gauges.
Basically waht i am trying to say is there a wire i can tap in to that is closes to the driver side door that only has power when the key is on and no power to it when the key is off.?????
5. Where is oil pressure sender located on the engine block should i put a T- fitting there and have my oil temp and oil pres sender togther there????
I am sorry for this big post and long and lost of questions i just want to make sure i get ever thing right i don't want to mess up my baby.
Thnanks guy's and gal's i would really apprecaite any suggestions.
