Courtesy lamp bulb replacement

How do I replace the 168 bulb on the bottom of the side mirrors. One of them just went out.

I have an 03 XLT and I want to change the bulbs to LED... I changed my tailgate to the bright white led, and I know it would be nice on the mirrors as well... Any help is appreciated! I want to stick a blade up there and pop it out... but im afraid to break the plexi. I have the same problem with my 03 Taurus too... Not like they are broken.. HELP!

...thats how you do it...they are known as puddle lamps here and there are several threads on them...
