courtesy/puddle led questions

im looking to add some white leds to the underside of my truck and have a few questions. i would like to wire them in so when my doors open or i use the unlock button they come on. im sure i can figure that part out. i wold like them wired into the timer that shuts off the over head this is where im confused......where is it? im sure its possible just dont know how. also id like them to come on with a remote start and go off when i tap brake. im sure this is also possible as most reote starts ive seen turn on atleat the parking lights and than they go off. i cant have them coming on when i turn on my lights or when i turn on my over head. i also may be looking at making my own strip of lights my self if i cant find any suitable cheap enough. any ideas on what leds to use for brightness, also any resisters i may need and maybe a quick diagram of how to wire them. i know i want them in parralel and im looking for good coverage between front and rear wheels on both sides.


any tips,thoughts, or other thread reference is greatly appreciated.
