Crank but no start. Timing?

So I timed my 4.0 engine after replacing head gaskets etc. If I timed it on the exhaust stroke by accident would this cause the engine to not start. Cylinder one gets maybe 70 psi when checking compression.

70 psi compression, is not a good sign. Sorry
Yea I know I'm thinking it's because of the timing being off I was just hoping it wasn't and didn't have to pull the engine again.
