Crank but no start

Hey guys I got a 99 ford explorer I thought it ran out of gas, got gas and not it will crank but not start it's getting fuel to the fuel lines I wiggled some wires going to the coil pack/spark plugs I push the fuel shut off line under the passenger floor, I just don't know that much about diagnostic. My friend on ohio said altenator or battery so im about get an alternator but I definitely could use some advise from some people that deal with this daily or what not

It sounds like PATS may have been tripped somehow. PATS is Passive Anti Theft System.

That's what I was thinking my dad lost the keys so he tore the ignition out and tryng to use a screwdriver I was thinking that might have alot to do with it

Oh no your fine thank you saved me from getting battery and alternator I would have hated to get those and it still not work
