Crankcase ventilation breather?

I'm getting the MAC intake for my SOHC sometime next week and had a question about the crankcase ventilation tubes that run into the intake after the MAS. I know one goes straight to the passenger side valve cover and I haven't been able to follow the other one to it's source, but I was wondering if I could just put a breather on the valve cover instead of running that hot air directly into the intake? I know the import guys do it on their cars and I thought it might work on ours, too. Has anyone tried this? Can both tubes be eliminated with breathers?

The crankcase and it is pulled into the engine through the PCV valve. If you remove it from that location, the number of silicates will increase in the oil and the MAF calculation will be off. But, it is your car.

What House says is correct. The MAF is calibrated for a certain amount of airflow. It you remove the PCV intake air, the ECM will "see" less airflow and could very well lean the mixture, giving less power......

Ok, so it's a bad idea to do the PCV intake then. What about the soft hose to the valve cover? Would puttin a breather on the valve cover and closing up the hole on the intake affect the MAF?
