Crankshaft pulley removal trouble

I have to change the gasket for the timing chain cover in my 93 explorer and can't get the crankshaft pulley off. I rented a the pulley puller tool from Advanced auto and none of the bolts are the right size to thread into it. Does any one know what size bolts I will need?

I said thanks in the other post on accident. I don't know if you will get it so I will ask the other question here. I will get the bolts today and hopefully get the pulley off but I also need to get the timing chain cover off to replace the gasket because antifreeze is spraying out from there. Two mechanics I talked to said those long bolts snap easily, you wouldn't have any tips on getting those out in one piece would you?

I have never removed my timing chain cover, so I can't offer any experience here. However, at one time I was considering replacing the timing chain just for maintenance, and when I looked at my Haynes manual the oil pan had to be dropped, hence the engine pulled...or raised up...so I ditched that idea. I'm not sure if the pan has to be dropped just to replace the cover and gasket.

Just the four bolts holding the pan to the cover need to be removed and the oil pan gasket cut off in that area. I am just a little worried about the long bolts, I guess I will just PB Blaster it and let it soak for a while. Thanks for your help.
