I recently had tires put on my 2002 ford explorer. The shop told me that the rear cross axis bushings needed replaced on both sides. Can anyone tell me a little more about a rear cross axis bushing. I did a search on this site and could not find any info on it. I did a search on google to see what the part looked like and one site showed what I thought looked like a ball joint. Any info would be helpful. I don't know if it is a product of a bad cross axis bushing but when driving the a road noise seems louder than usual, similar to when the wheel bearing went bad. Thanks in advance.
