My cruise control failed some time ago. I noticed the vacuum hoses connected to the cruise control unit. Thinking that was where the vacuum leak was...I disconnected and plugged the vacuum inlet hose. The engine ran better for several weeks. The cost to repair the cruise was too much because I rarely used it anyway. I really need to learn the vacuum hose layout on this vehicle. I see some hoses exiting the cruise control unit...where doo they go? I admit, I don't know what I'm doing but I am sick of the shop's minimalist technical and maximumist bills!
Should I by-pass the cruise unit or plug the hoses or get it repaired?
