I have a 2004 ford explorer this past weekend our cruise control stopped working I've checked the sensor on the master cylinder already and ohms out good what else can I check

Check the brake pedal switch. There are two. One on the clevis pin between master cylinder pushrod and the pedal. And one up on the top of the pedal arm.
