Nice, get some pics up asap! Lol

Lol I could have died from the anxiety or however you spell it of waiting for the set like you got, but mine were for the 1st gens, for mine, then I had the HID kit same day :D:D:D Lol

Don't like the projector/halo set-up. Just looking for something to replace the headlight. Don't want to go OEM if I don't have too. My only concern is that they would put off to much light, and I would get flashed from oncoming traffic all the time.

I had those on my old X and I liked them. However, make sure they have a good seal before you put them in. I had to take one of mine out and run a small ammount of silicone around the edges.

THe projector style? Or the Diamond cut style?

You won't get flashed if you use halogen bulbs. If you use HID, it will probably be another story.

I say go for it because the clear headlights do give good output and freshen up the look of your ride. Definitely take the "silicone" advice to heart. I had to on my projector/halo setup. These are still "Made in Taiwan" and quality is OK, but not up to demanding standards as OEM. I base my comments on my old Diamond Cuts which are pretty similar to those "Crystal Clear" headlights. Probably made at the same place.

The one's I mentioned at the beginning of my post. I want something that is plug and play and does not require cutting and splicing of wiring or other modifications.

You wont get flashed, you just gotta adjust them, you'll need a really small socket, idr what size it is off the top of my head, but they move up and down, then left and right.

If you get HID's for them, then you MIGHT get flashed, unless theyre all the way down.
They will dramatically increase the look of your explorer, and your light output. Id also get the blinkers too...Otherwise these will make the blinker assy. look very fogged and dirty.

I"ve decided to get the crystal clears like you had and will take you're advice and put some silicone around them when I get them. $120.00+ free shipping sounds like a good deal. They are made by KGS Racing so I was a little leary of buying them since I never heard of them before.

I bought some crystal headlights a while back as stock halogen replacements for my factory housings. Paid $75 for the pair on ebay, similar to these

My problem is that with the halogen bulbs they are throwing weird shadows in the headlight beam. I also am getting/have a Morimoto Mini H1 projector retrofit ready to go in after Christmas. I'm worried that the weird shadows will show up with the HIDs and possibly look bad and blind oncoming drivers.

Anyone else had this problem with the crystal clear diamond cut headlight housings and know if it transfers from halogens over into an HID retrofit?
