I hate to turn this particular thread to politics/philosphy but it is often said that w/o some form of a gvt, there is nothing but anarchy. Government takes care of the majority, that is why it is a republic/democratic system.

Oh no, you opened pandora's box!

The problem here is the US was founded as a Republic, which means the individual has rights. But now we are seeing Democracy way of thinking coming to light, in a democracy the group holds the rights, and in such a case the minority of the population has no rights, only privilages granted by the dictator of the majority.

Government itself isn't the problem, it's the corruption/collusion that is the problem. Unfortunetly with any form of government you will have this regardless. All governments look good on paper, but people can never execute things exactly as spec'd out.

Sigh....here we go again. Nice hijack guys.

Last I checked, this was the Stock 95-01 forum.

I feel like I'm channel surfing between CNN and Fox News lately on this site. With all the bad economic news in the past year, there's a lot of blame going around and it translates in these discussions on the board and it always becomes a partisan discussion.I come here to get away from that! At least stick it in the off-topic forums (which I tend to avoid). :)

This was been an interesting thread so far. Where else can we learn about a "Psycho Hosebeast from Hell" ex-wife trashing a pristine Explorer? Not on CNN or Fox News I bet. :p:

I hear ya. Where else can you see SAS'd grocery getters with Shackles, TT's, and lockers .

You should see the P&R Section on Rage3D.com (the only other forum besides this one I frequent). It's like Fox News vs. MSNBC in EVERY thread, it's obnoxious but if you take a non-partisan view it's VERY funny.

I vote we start a paypal account for this poor guy so he can hire someone to "take care" of the problem....

Sssh. I was thinking the same thing. :D

I shared the details with my wife last night and she was appalled at what the wife did, but she also added that the hubby must move on. No amount of emotion is going to sway any judge to give more than fair market value which is really sad.

I wonder if he's got any naughty pics or vids of his ex. That would be a great way to get revenge. ;)

I believe the Explorer was in both names, but once the paperwork goes in, all assets are frozen. I believe that her laywer is agreeing to the money is because she could be in more trouble if he persues going after her for what she did.
She had no more right to "his" car, than he would have of hers.

evidently the machine shop said that the damage is severe, but it is rebuildable...I will be curious to what will done. All he said that there is alot of time needed to manually clean it up and possible some custom work to be done.

I know how he is feeling, I have a 97 Explorer Sport with 19K miles on it, it isn't worth much of anything except to me. It is, what my wife calls, "Garage furnature" LOL

what a *****. my truck has 152,000 miles, some rust spots, and a few small problems, and i would still be pissed if somebody would do that to mine, let alone a 29k truck in great condition.

I'm interested to see how the cylinder walls are cauz of the non-sleeved design :(
