Hey all-

I figured I'd share some updated pix with you all since its been awhile. I recently installed a custom made grille on my mounty (among other things) and figured I'd post some pix. Its Black Mesh, lemme know what you think......

I got sick of having a "street truck" setup with no custom grille one day so after some handy use of a saber saw, 2 grinders, dupli-color, clear coat, and eBay treated black metal mesh - I had myself a new grille. Not going to lie, it was a pain in the ass, but I'm happy with the results......

Enjoy mounty owners esp., as we're often on our own when it comes to front end body mods!!!

Haha i was thinking the same thing, the shape lights and grille on the mounty mimic that of the newer mustangs.....

Looks hot man I love it!!! :D

Anyone else hiding 2nd generation mounty grilles out there?

looks great keep up good work

Nice touch there. I have a new grille identical to that OEM I got for painting to match my truck. I like that, but just being painted helps more than having chrome. I plan to mount a 2002+ emblem in the center in place of the 96-01 chrome part.

It isn't a bolt in, but it's very very close in size, a minor project.

nope, it doesnt replace it directly but its a very easy job to fit..

found a pic of mine with both front and rear replaced with the newer type logo.. i have the one with the black backing on the emblem so i had to file and cut a lot more that the regular emblems.. i also added a small "v8" emblem to the driver side of the grill..

sorry for the blurry pic, this was taken a very long time ago with a camera phone went we went hiking someplace in west virgina.. the emblems have been through a lot including a bunch of car washes and not a single one went loose or dropped off..

Thanks for the pictures. I liked the titanium color of the later emblem also, I want to reduce the chrome parts on mine. I don't think I will have any chrome when I get it all painted. I believe I will remove the rear emblem also, it already says Mercury on it.

I love the grille man, weve got the same color vehicles, and ive even got the same clear corners. Now i need your wheels and grill. GIMME!
