It's fine, it straightens up when you put everything back in place, it kinda floats in place there and rides on the end shaft of the CV on that side. Replace the CV if the boot has ripped though.

oh okay cool thanks and by the way what is that shaft called that sits in place ..and is suppose to come out if i pull it?..and the seal around on the housing is ripped how do i replace that? its not the cv axle seal ...i have a brand new one of those

You may need to "tap" the stub shaft back into place once the splines are lined up, you'll feel it. Now a sharp tap with a mallet will get it in there.

does anybody know what that seal is called ? it in the image link...its not on the actual cv axle ...its the in the shaft part right were the inner cv axle sits in place

It is called an axle seal. However each side is a different part number.

TIMKEN Part # 710429 front left axle seal

TIMKEN Part # 710428 front right axle seal

They are about 8.75 each at rockauto.com

How do you uninstall and reinstall the right axle seal?

Pulling the stub shaft out will help, then it is like any other seal. You will need a seal driver of some sort to re install it
