cv axle???

would a CV axle "half shaft" from an 00 4wd 4.0L sploder work in an 05 trac?

i already checked autozone and unfortunitely the part numbers are different. but i need a inexpensive option and the 00 in the yard has new shafts "sticker is still in one piece".

Check the motorcraft part # instead. As far as I know though they have never switched axles or difs for that matter. I don't see why they won't. Not like this helps but I pulled motorcraft a arms from a 98 v8 ex and bolted up to mine directly. I don't think they've changed much over the years.

Wait.... Take that back it could be different because they changed brake sizes so they may have changed the axles for that reason.
