cv nut question

im going to be taking the cv halfshafts out of my truck in the process of replacing the lower ball joints... do you have to use a new nut when putting this back together... i heard this somewhere. any truth to this... anything else to replace while im in there... already done the uppers... those were insanely easy ...

i re-used mine.. couldnt even find new nuts for sale. been 50k miles and alls well....

thanks i can order them from napa for like 2 bucks a piece so i might just put the old ones back on ... they take like 200ftlbs to get them tight dont they

if you can get them from napa for like $2 then why not get them?

better safe-than-sorry ya know?

and i hammered mine on with an impact gun that puts out plenty more than 200... just to be safe
